On Wednesday 22nd November, Duravit, a leading international manufacturer of designer bathrooms, was invited to attend the 15th Annual 2017 Designer and Kitchen and Bathroom Awards.
Held at The Bloomsbury Big Top in central London, around 400 professionals from the kitchen and bathroom industry, came together to celebrate excellence in professional residential design and innovation in new product design.
Duravit’s Luv collection, designed by Cecilie Manz, received the award for ‘Innovation in Design’ in the bathroom products category. Seven experienced and highly respected judges recognised the collections’ timeless design merits, high quality materials and innovation.
Strictly Come Dancing star Claudia Winkleman presented the award to Martin Carroll, Managing Director, Duravit UK who commented: “We are delighted to be recognized as an industry leader in product innovation by the judges at the Designer Kitchen and Bathroom Awards. Our close collaboration with internationally renowned designers such as Cecilie Manz has enabled us to make designer bathrooms come alive by combining the highest quality original design and innovative materials with comfort-enhancing technology.”
Luv was launched at ISH 2017 and combines Nordic purism and timeless elegance. Gentle forms follow a sharp geometry. The selection of materials and colours is testament to Cecilie Manz’s refined sense for nuanced form. Her colour palette of matt lacquers and glazes in soft shades was developed exclusively for Duravit and emphasises the fresh character of Luv.
