Popular Edinburgh serviced apartment offering Princes Street Suites has unveiled the results of a £350,000 refurbishment.
The new-look Princes Street Suites, in the heart of the Scottish capital, have been transformed, with a modern Scottish aesthetic from Glasgow-based interior designer, Linda Reid running throughout.
All 37 one, two and three-bedroom apartments in the former Edinburgh Post Office building now feature bespoke furniture, furnishings and accessories, including a signature blue plaid.
Linda Reid, said: “The Princes Street Suites are a wonderful blend of old and new, with part of the building dating back to 1816 and another section very contemporary in feel. As such, I wanted to make sure the design reflected this and brought these two elements together.
“Another important aspect of the design was the introduction of our signature blue plaid, which really informed the modern Scottish aesthetic in the apartments. It’s wonderful to see this fantastic property with a brand new lease of life during its bicentenary year.”

Managed by the UK’s largest independent hotel management company, Redefine|BDL Hotels, the refurbishment is the first major project undertaken by Princes Street Suites’ new General Manager, Fiona Mackenzie, who took over the role last July.
Fiona said: “The Princes Street Suites have never looked more inviting and we can’t wait to welcome new and returning guests to enjoy our upgraded facilities. Coupled with the perfect city centre location, we are really offering visitors the full package.”
Situated in the heart of Edinburgh, the high-end apartments are perfectly located for exploring Edinburgh’s historic landmarks and attractions such as Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile and Princes Street.
