Leading manufacturer of stylish electrical accessories, MK Electric, has announced that its latest range of wiring devices, Dimensions, has been shortlisted for Commercial Product of the Year at the Electrical Industry Awards.

Designed to recognise the very best of product innovation in the electrical sector, the Electrical Industry Awards offer a valuable barometer of the latest and greatest products entering the market, providing hoteliers and hotel specifiers with a guide to the best new ranges available.

The Commercial Product of the Year category recognises the electrical accessories which offer outstanding functionality to commercial sectors such as hospitality. Dimensions, which launched this summer, was designed to respond to the needs of audiences such as hotel developers, and includes a two-piece installation process which means that the clip-on frontplates can be easily interchanged to match the evolving décor of a building.

Offering screwless design and a choice of eight different finishes, the range provides scalability which can add the finishing touch to any room – whether that’s a deluxe suite or back-of-house office areas. In line with customer demand, Dimensions also incorporates products such as integrated USB socket outlets for easy smart device charging, LED dimmers, keycard switches and ‘do not disturb’ switches, all with a unified look.

Emma Segelov, head of marketing at MK Electric, said: “We are delighted that Dimensions has been shortlisted for Commercial Product of the Year. We developed the range to meet the needs of a fast-paced commercial hospitality environment, and this award is testament to the success of that – we look forward to the results!”

The winning products will be announced at an awards ceremony on the 26 October at The Royal Garden Hotel, London.
