Opening October 10th in the heart of Edinburgh at Picardy Place, The Wine House Hotel 1821 represents a truly innovative concept in hospitality brought to you by legendary Italian wine producer ZONIN1821, and Scottish restaurateur, Sep Marini.

Set in a stunning, multi-storied Georgian townhouse, this boutique hotel includes a cosy and elegant wine bar, a cocktail lounge, inviting library, attractive function space and four individually designed hotel rooms, each inspired by ZONIN1821’s iconic Italian estates.

Having spent the last decade establishing some Scotland’s most iconic Italian restaurants, Marini has enshrined in this venue his love of Italian hospitality and cuisine, realising the perfect blend of food, family, and gastronomic excellence. And to this auspicious partnership, ZONIN1821 adds its expertise, knowledge, and passion for Italian wines and hospitality – creating a dynamic destination for wine aficionados and connoisseurs.

At the heart of the Wine House Hotel is ZONIN1821’s newest conception, the Wine Library: a place of entertainment, knowledge and community designed by the world-renowned architect Claudio Silvestrin. Here, guests can experience the Cru wines of ZONIN1821’s Estates offered by the glass, in stylish surroundings resplendent with red marble from Verona, sleek lines and a warm wood. A truly unique location to experience, taste and enjoy a new side of wine, the Wine library will soon be replicated in Brazil, along the most prestigious avenue of San Paolo, and in other European countries starting from 2018.

As a family, the Zonins have been under the spell of wine for nearly two centuries. The family company’s nine different Estates make them one of the most important Italian wine producers and indeed one of the foremost worldwide.
