Itz’ana Resort & Residences in Placencia, Belize, is now taking bookings for a December opening, with availability starting on the 15th.
The highly anticipated resort will be the first of its kind in the Caribbean, unveiling a new genre of hospitality called Mission-Driven Luxury. The concept offers guests authentic experiences that sustain the region’s indigenous culture and natural environment, paired with unique high-design elements and experiences from a collection of the best artists, designers, archaeologists and more. The mission is to not only sustain the beauty of our natural surroundings, but add to it, giving back to the community, its people, as well as the environment.
The resort will open with 16 deluxe suites and two beachfront suites. Guests will be among the first to experience the resort’s Great House, a Hemingway-inspired gathering place for amazing cuisine and programming located in the heart of the property. An additional 32 resort suites including two penthouses will be opening throughout 2018, along with 46 waterfront residences.
Designed by architect Roberto de Oliveira Castro, Itz’ana Resort & Residences touts a chic, tropical ambiance amplified with interiors by New York interior designer, Samuel Amoia. The spaces feature custom furnishings produced by local artisans and one-of-a-kind vintage pieces sourced from markets throughout Central America. The vibrant interiors designed and curated by Amoia will be complemented with stunning murals hand-painted by artist George Venson of Voutsa. His work will adorn the ceiling of the gift shop and walls of the reception area, Rum Room and guest suites.
