Signbox have seen an upsurge in enquiries following their achievement of winning the Best Sign Company award at Sign & Digital UK 2011, the sign industry’s only recognised awards scheme. At the prestigious award ceremony, held in April at the National Motorcycle Museum, Signbox faced stiff competition for this top award with all the UK’s leading sign makers having entered.Commenting on this hugely coveted award, the judging panel for Sign & Digital Awards 2011 said, “Weathering the storm to record a 28% increase on the previous year’s turnover, Signbox’s success has been achieved through hard work and a dedication to exceeding customer expectations in every aspect. Combining intelligent sign design with a considered approach to the use of sustainable materials, they sit on the cutting edge of today’s sign industry”.

Concluding, the judges said, “Boasting a huge array of work throughout 2010, Signbox’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of contemporary sign making epitomises all a modern sign company should be”.

The Best Sign Company award tops a remarkable year for Signbox, having enjoyed a buoyant trading period and a move into groundbreaking technological signage territory with the launch of Enlighten, the Near Field Communication (NFC) smart poster, information retrieval and purchasing system that looks set to take the retail and travel sectors by storm.

Mark Bartlett, Managing Director of Signbox, commented, “To be recognised as the best sign company in the industry is a huge honour; I’m delighted for the team, it’s tribute to their tremendous hard work and excellence.”

Signbox was also shortlisted for the Best Individual Sign category for the Northern Trust project, a complex, high-level installation in Canary Wharf.
