AMS Group is awarded a chain-of-custody certification

    Redditch based AMS Group, specialists in bespoke interiors for the retail and hotel and leisure sectors is pleased to announce that as a result of a recent evaluation by the SmartWood Program of the Rainforest Alliance, they have been certified to FSC Chain-of-Custody standards.Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an internationally recognized standard setting body that accredits and monitors forestry certifiers worldwide.

    The Rainforest Alliance’s SmartWood program was founded in 1989 to certify responsible forestry practices, in particular chain-of-custody refers to the complete systems and procedures that allow for the tracking of a forest product from the logs traded to the retailers who bring the final product to the marketplace.

    AMS, managing director, Jim Clark said: “We are very proud to receive official recognition of our efforts in this area. As a company we are very conscious of our responsibilities and achieving certification has been important for us and is a further guarantee to existing and potential customers that we operate in the most environmentally conscious way possible.”
