Stephen Roberts Chair of the Liverpool Hoteliers Association and Manager of Crowne Plaza is urging the North West’s top hotels to get behind Alder Hey Imagine Appeal, the official charity of the John Smith’s Grand National this year. For the past few years Stephen and The Crowne Plaza along with other hotels have helped to raise over £10,000 for the Imagine Appeal by inviting their race going customers to add a voluntary £1 donation to their bill for Alder Hey Imagine Appeal over the famous horse racing festival period.

    Stephen said,
“We’re more than happy to offer our support once again to such a worthwhile cause. I’m confident we will be able to count on hotels and restaurants from all over the North West to offer their support to Alder Hey Imagine Appeal. All of our customers have been happy to give; we’ve even had some wanting to give even more! Last year we had a certain jockey staying at The Crowne Plaza who insisted we bump up the donation to £50 instead of £1.”

Imagine Appeal spokesperson Chris Done added,
“We’re absolutely delighted with the support we’ve received over the years from the Liverpool Hoteliers Association. They’ve raised a fantastic amount of money for our hospital over the world famous John Smith’s Grand National period”.
