CASE STUDY: Furnishing Hilton Cobham

As a supplier to Hilton Hotels, Jameson Seating has completed many projects across the UK and Europe, providing both upholstery and window treatments. Here, Hotel Designs understands what went in to furnishing one of its latest projects, Hilton Hotel Cobham…

In early 2018, Hilton hotels quoted Jameson Seating to supply curtains and sofa beds for the 152-key refurbishment project, Hilton Hotel Cobham, which was expected to be completed during 2019/2020.

The brand has built up a strong relationship with the Hilton Supply Team over the years and has also worked closely with the Quantity Surveyors Barton Minty.

Two colour schemes were used on this project, an Indigo for the standard rooms and Teal for the Suites, with the curtains being blackout lined as the usual Hilton standard. The Daytona sofa beds supplied by Jameson’s are one of their best selling products and are manufactured in their factory in Birmingham. They come in a range of sizes to suit almost any space and are fully knockdown eliminating any access issues and can be easily assembled on site.

The seat cushions are attached to the mechanism so there are no storage issue as they are hidden under the bed once the mattress is folded out, there is enough storage space for pillows too. Due to the nature of the Daytona sofa bed, if any part becomes damaged or soiled it can easily be replaced. The 100mm deep quality mattress is fully pocket sprung and the action folds in and out so takes no effort to operate making it easier for housekeeping staff. There are a range of styles available and if there is limited to space the armless option is ideal.

Jameson Seating Ltd has an experienced Project Management team to oversee both the curtain and furniture installations. Working with the client from quotation stage right through to installation is all part of the service. They pride themselves on supplying high quality furnishings manufactured right here in the UK.
