With more than 80 years of history, the luxurious Tivoli Avenida Liberdade Lisboa Hotel is recognised as a city landmark for its prime location on Avenida Liberdade and brilliant old world architecture. The hotel – the ultimate place to see and be seen – has always attracted celebrities and heads of state alike, from all over the world.

Timeless elegance and tradition are, as ever, paramount but now, a €15 million refurbishment ranging across the hotel’s bedrooms, plush leisure facilities and stylish restaurant concepts, has enveloped this iconic Lisbon hotel in an aura of modernity.

Tivoli Avenida Liberdade Hotel

The charismatic personality of Tivoli Avenida Liberdade has been enhanced by renowned architectural firm Broadway Malyan, which carefully combined the property’s historical roots with its contemporary offerings, in a far-reaching renovation and interior decoration project. The graciousness of a former era in Portuguese arts, culture and society has been brought to the forefront through the small details of a contemporary setting, where the authentic and warm Portuguese hospitality, for which Tivoli has always been renowned, is ultimately key.

The imposing façade and entrance set the tone for sublime stays on a central shopping street. Step into the hotel’s iconic lobby, bathed in abundant natural light and soft colours and imparting an aura of casual radiance. A natural meeting point for artists, celebrities and high level encounters for almost a century, it is crowned by a glass dome featuring a delicately woven golden trellis, acting as a gateway for Lisbon’s beloved rays. The plush furnishings are comfortable and welcoming, in rich tones of mahogany and turquoise.
