One of London’s most prestigious properties, the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, has selected WorldHotels as its strategic partner for global marketing, sales and distribution and will join the group’s portfolio on April 1 2010. The new partnership also reflects the hotel’s updated image which is accompanied by extensive refurbishment and redesign by Wilsdon Design Associates and Child Graddon Lewis Architects and Designers that encompass its changing direction.

Wilsdon Design Associates were in charge of the refurbishment of the Park Terrace, comprising of the restaurant, bar and lounge, as well as the public toilets and the reception area. Child Graddon Lewis completed the renovation of the bedroom suites on the 7th floor and the West Wing suites on the 8th and 9th floors. Child Graddon Lewis was also reponsible for the refurbishment of the Palace Suite.

The Royal Garden Hotel overlooking Kensington Gardens offers 5-star luxury and service without the stuffiness. Stylish rooms, a hotel spa, two award-winning restaurants, 10 meeting rooms and an events venue make it one of the best value
    5-star hotels in London.

Having already completed several major changes, the Royal Garden Hotel will see further modernisation and redesign to be completed by April 2010. The recently reopened hotel lobby ensures a memorable welcome upon arrival. The
contemporary, modern feel can be seen on the 10th floor in the critically acclaimed Min Jiang restaurant and in the bedrooms and suites on the seventh, eighth and ninth floors which are now decorated in a palette of neutral calming
    shades, complimented with rich fabrics.

New features include iPod docking stations and media hubs. Modernisation work is currently underway on the fifth and sixth floors to continue the phasing-in of the contemporary designed bedrooms.

The Park Terrace, the hotel’s other restaurant, is undergoing a complete refurbishment. The new destination venue will benefit from a window-lined wall offering seamless views of the Park beyond (in my experience on of the best views from a restaurant anywhere in London – Editor), as well as chic seating, a central bar and updated menu.

Also newly-refurbished are the hotel’s conferencing and banqueting rooms. The hotel’s 10 private function rooms offer state-of-the-art facilities from high-end technology specifications to impeccable catering.

RHA Furniture is behind the refurbishment that is being undertaken and Grohe supplied the bathrooms.
