The Lygon Arms, located in Broadway in the heart of the Cotswolds has unveiled the final chapter of its multi-million-pound refurbishment and expansion.

The no-expense-spared transformation of this 16th century coaching inn, honours the building’s charm and heritage, and debuts an enriched guest experience complete with 86 newly designed rooms and suites, a refreshed spa, and the late-summer launch of two new culinary experiences; Lygon Bar & Grill and Lygon Wine Bar.

The redesign of the guest rooms and suites, spearheaded by Anita Rosato Interior Design, beautifully embodies the hotel’s 600-year character and style, while incorporating the contemporary luxuries and technological conveniences that meet the needs of today’s modern luxury traveler. Steeped in traditional British opulence and comfort, each room unveils a unique design, all individually decorated to create eclectic accommodations for families, couples and the solo traveller.

The final renovation brings the total room count of The Lygon Arms to 86, including three one-of-a-kind signature Luxury Suites and six Courtyard Suites, inspired by famed past guests such as King Charles I.

This final chapter includes the newly opened Lygon Bar & Grill and the Lygon Wine Bar; a new restaurant and wine-bar, two of the most sought-after dining destinations in the Cotswolds. The Lygon Bar & Grill concentrates on seasonality and product provenance, while representing the traditional brilliance of British food in a relaxed setting.

The Mediterranean-inspired Lygon Wine Bar boasts a fine selection of European and international wines, complimented by light Italian dishes.

“It is with great pleasure that we debut the final phase of this monumental refurbishment of The Lygon Arms, that unveils an exciting new chapter in the property’s grand history,” says General Manager Graeme Nesbitt. “Our team has worked alongside the best talent to create a vision that celebrates and brings to life the property’s charm and long-standing heritage, and above all, ensures our guest experience is truly memorable.”

As part of the new vision for the hotel, the property opened the luxurious Lygon Spa offering a full range of unique beauty treatments. The hotel’s public areas also have new looks that encompass the relaxation and luxury of the chic Cotswold countryside.
