Fine Cell Work are inviting the public to ‘A private view of British quilts’ which will be hosted at the Victoria and Albert Museum on 25th March.This event will celebrate the launch of a quilt that has been commissioned by V&A from inmates at HMP Wandsworth.
The charity will also be auctioning a ‘celebrity signature quilt’ which features the signatures of 72 important figures whose lives have some bearing on design, textiles and prison. These include Tracey Emin, Margaret Atwood, Dame Judi Dench, Giles Deacon, Helen Mirren, Bruce Oldfield and Zandra Rhodes.
Tickets are on sales from £25 to £125.
