REVIEW: CITIZENM TOWER OF LONDON
Outside your cubby hole, the lobby is a home-from-home, filled with books, art, a fireplace and a carpet that recreates the slow ticking clock of the Gare de Lyon station. As with all of citizenM hotels, it’s filled with unique artworks, including the mesmerising installation by Studio Martens & Visser, Reflecting Holons, which transforms the entrance into a magical light and movement show of floating, dancing bubbles. Okay, okay – perhaps not exactly like your own living room.
Need to graft? The societyM meeting rooms will inspire your next lightbulb moment. Peckish? canteenM offers food and drink, healthy and indulgent, day and night. And when it’s time to wind down with a cocktail (or three), head up to cloudM for panoramas over the city. Looking out over the Seine, soak up views of timeless icons – the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame – new features such as a the Cité de la mode et du design and, all the way in western Paris, the Grande Arche.
