Award-winning design practice Areen Hospitality has completed the first phase of the 467 guest room renovation of the iconic Westin Palace Madrid, one of the oldest and most prestigious hotels in Spain.
This latest appointment adds to Areen’s growing reputation within the international hospitality sector, offering clients both interior design and procurement on an integrated basis from a single supplier.
The design concepts allowed a fresh interpretation of the hotel’s classic heritage and location, alongside a more contemporary and revitalising ambience to be created for the interiors of its guest rooms and suites.
As Andrew Linwood, Head of Design, Areen Hospitality, explains: “Leading international hotels, such as the Westin Palace Madrid, are increasingly looking at renovation opportunities to maintain brand values and provide guests with the standard expected. Their investment provides a great return, in terms of both customer experience and building brand loyalty.
“We’re delighted to have been appointed on this latest renovation project which follows on from our success on the refurbishment of Sheraton hotels in Zagreb, Bucharest and Stockholm.”
