As Cairo emerges from recent history making events, it remains a key travel destination within the region, and the world, due to its vibrant culture and iconic heritage and attractions.Fairmont Hotels & Resorts operates two luxury properties in Cairo – Fairmont Heliopolis and Towers is five minutes from Cairo International Airport and features 835 lavish guest rooms and suites, 15 dining options, and facilities that include a fully-equipped health club, three swimming pools and more. Opened in late 2009, Fairmont Nile City overlooks Egypt’s Nile River and houses multiple bars and restaurants, including a rooftop area featuring a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool and hot tub boasting views of the Pyramids and beyond.

New Spa Offers Luxury Oasis

This May, Fairmont Nile City debuts a luxurious Willow Stream Spa, the newest location of the signature spa brand from Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Currently the only Willow Stream Spa in the Middle East, Willow Stream at Nile City offers a sophisticated sanctuary designed to escape the daily clamor of the city. Occupying the 24th floor of the hotel, the retreat offers sweeping panoramic views of the Nile River and expansive desert. The 20,000 square foot spa features private Hammam experiences for both women and men with Energized Rain and Ice Mist Showers, Desert Star Steam Rooms and refreshing ice fountains, as well as a spa retail shop and a full beauty salon featuring Mohamed Al Saghir. To further recharge one’s inner energy, the spa offers an integrated fitness center, a yoga studio, a tranquil reflexology lounge, nine single suites and two couples’ suites, each with its own private hydrotherapy, bathing and lounging areas.

Renovations Add Modern Flair to Luxury Resort

Fairmont Heliopolis and Towers has recently debuted renovated guest rooms following a USD $15 million room restoration program in the hotel’s Heliopolis wing. Designed by London based interior designers Hirsch Bedner and Partners (HBA), the rooms provide luxurious accommodation for business and leisure travelers. New features include pillow top beds, flexible bedside reading lights, blackout curtains and sound reduction measures to make for a peaceful experience. Additionally, the facilities include state-of the-art business and entertainment connectivity through the installation of a Media Panel, linking the working environment at the business desk to the new flat screen 42″ television, thus allowing guests to connect iPods, MP3 players and their own laptops to the TV.
