As the countdown kicks off for the official launch of InterContinental Doha The City, the new team hosted a sophisticated fashion show for colleagues, showcasing the latest designs that the hotel’s team will be wearing when the property opens in the coming weeks. Forty members of the team took to the catwalk in the stunning lobby of the five-star hotel, which is set to bring a new perspective on design to Doha’s West Bay area. In front of an audience that included staff, the hotel owners and guests from the InterContinental Hotels Group office in Dubai, the chosen models for the day displayed a range of leading-edge outfits that will be worn by the various teams at InterContinental Doha The City. Outfits premiered at the event included fashion wear for the staff at six restaurants and two lounges to the sporting attire for trainers at the Health & Fitness Club.

“As the opening date for InterContinental Doha The City approaches, our team is creating a stylish and cohesive form of hospitality fashion which echoes and complements the décor within the property. The new uniforms reflect the bold direction that this hotel will take as a modern, sophisticated destination with its roots firmly placed within the city of Doha,” said David Todd, General Manager.

The uniforms have been designed specifically for InterContinental Doha The City by the Lebanese designer Emile Rassam, using natural fabrics, elegant cuts and a neutral colour palette to complement the hotel’s interiors.
