Per AQUUM announces the opening of NIYAMA, Maldives, its newest addition to its award winning portfolio. Due to open October 2011, NIYAMA has been designed as an edgy, modern resort that will offer guests more than a romantic Maldivian escape, balancing tranquillity with a sense of discovery, stimulation and fun. Located in the South Western Atoll of Dhaalu, NIYAMA is a 40 minute seaplane flight from Male and is situated over two idyllic islands, Embudhufushi and Olhuveli.

SLUMBER
As Per AQUUM’s first resort concept, NIYAMA will feature 86 Studios and Pavilions introducing for the first time, an elevated array of slumber options. Beach Studios with their stunning outdoor bathrooms, large deck areas and secluded beach views; Deluxe Beach Studios with their own fibre optic lit pool; Beach Pavilions with 24 hours butler service, private pools and exclusive beach access and The Beach Residence with private dining alcoves and large living areas.

Water babies can choose from the expansive Water Studios or Deluxe Water Studios, both offering private pools, stunning views of the vast Indian Ocean, spacious living areas and the latest in entertainment technology. For the ultimate treat, the Water Pavilions with Private Pool are available with one or two bedrooms complete with private Thakuru.

DINE & IMBIBE
NIYAMA will challenge the conventional with its culinary exhibitionism, leading guests on a gastronomic adventure starting at Epicure for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with take-away options from the international gourmet deli. Unwind at Fahrenheit, watching the Maldivian sunset from the rooftop with a glass of your favourite drink in hand. TRIBAL, designed as a modern day campsite with culinary offerings influenced by the cuisines of South and East Africa, the Middle East, Asia and South America. Live cooking for guests to observe and close interaction with the Tribal Chefs. Cooking preparations include hot rock grills, Asado grills, woks and open fires.

Built 500 metres offshore, NIYAMA’s signature restaurant and lounge will appear to float on the surface of the Indian Ocean and will only be accessible by boat. Eight metres below, will be the world’s first underwater club, the ultimate experience in music and dance where NIYAMA LIVE will feature emerging and established artistes from around the world.

Another first for Per AQUUM is Deli In. Each Studio and Pavilion will be stocked with a fridge brimming with gourmet deli items; cheeses, olives, cold cuts, wines to name a few. Merging the timelines between meals and offering greater freedom to relax throughout the day.

LIME SPA
A first in the Maldives, LIME Spa at NIYAMA will be open 24 hours. Treatments will utilise and infuse indigenous holistic components from around the globe to create unique experiences. LIME will include his and her beauty salons, a contemplation garden and Quench, the juice bar. Each of these areas will be designed to heighten guests’ relaxation, allowing them to enjoy the tranquillity and space around them. PUMP the 24 hour gym will be equipped with state of the art gym equipment for those looking to maintain their routine or try something new.
