The hotel will be ideally located in the Bocagrande neighborhood of the city, overlooking the Caribbean Sea and approximately one and a half miles from the historic city center, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1984.Marriott International, Inc. continues to grow its portfolio in Colombia with the announcement of its plans to open the 278-room Cartagena Marriott Hotel in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. Currently scheduled to open in 2014, the project will be operated under a management agreement with Promotora El Faro S.A., controlled by Spazio Urbano. A selection of distinct amenities will include a fine dining restaurant, spa, fitness center and more 1,000 square meters of meeting space.
