ITC Hotels has announced a new addition to its Luxury Collection of Indian hotels – ITC Rajputana, in Jaipur, joins the eight other prestigious hotels inthe Collection.

Designed along the lines of a haveli (a traditional Indian mansion), this sprawling redbrick complex, with its split levels, hidden courtyards, manicured gardens, minimalistic lattice work and sumptuous decoration, is a tribute to magnificent local Rajput architecture.Being unveiled early in 2012, another of Jaipur’s palaces will open to the public for the first time – Jal Mahal (‘lake palace’) is set on the banks on the man-made Mansagar Lake and has been painstakingly restored to its former glory.

Jaipur together with Delhi and Agra make up India’s famed Golden Triangle – three must-visit destinations for any discerning tourist. With the addition of the ITC Rajputana to the Luxury Collection, this portfolio now has a presence in each of these cities and it is excellent timing for those wishing to explore Jaipur’s newly opened palace as part of their Golden-Triangle experience.

ITC Rajputana’s luxurious accommodation is made up of 201 rooms and 17 exquisite suites. Guests will be able to choose from a range of options including elegant Royale rooms, luxurious chambers and Executive Club rooms featuring workspace for the corporate traveller.

ITC Hotels’ acclaimed dining concepts are represented in this property by five restaurants and bars with highlights including an outpost of award-winning Peshawri, which dishes up the authentic, rustic flavours of the North West Frontier and Sheesh Mahal – nicknamed the ‘Palace of Mirrors’ – well-known as the best bar in town.

A wealth of leisure facilities include the luxurious and award-winning Kaya Kalp Spa, an outdoor pool, a spacious indoor gym and jogging track for keen runners. World-class conference facilities are also available for the adroit business traveller to India.

As the first premium brand in the world to achieve LEED Platinum rating when all original eight of the Luxury Collection hotels were awarded this prestigious accolade in 2011, it was ITC Rajputana’s commitment to ITC Hotels’ ethos of Responsible Luxury that elevated it to Luxury Collection status. Already in place are a wealth of eco-friendly measures that make the hotel water positive, carbon positive and solid waste recycling positive. ITC Rajputana is Rajasthan’s first and only LEED Platinum rated hotel.
