Hotel Indigo opens fourth property in Texas

    Hotel Indigo, an InternContinental Hotels Group brand, has opened its fourth hotel in Texas after an extensive renovation.The hotel is situated in Alamo in San Antonio and has 91 guest rooms over eight floors, including seven suites.

    The 100-year-old building has been renovated whilst still retaining all of its original wood work and marble.

    The property features signature Hotel Indigo standards including inviting guestrooms with oversized beds, hard-surface flooring for a residential feel, spa-inspired showers and photo murals with local imagery. The hotels also offers a casual gourmet dining restaurant, a 24-hour business centre, a fitness centre and free wired or wireless high-speed internet access.

    Hotel Indigo continues to build momentum. With the addition of this property, there will be 35 Hotel Indigo locations open worldwide and more than 60 hotels under development, either in the pipeline or in final negotiation. The brand’s growth strategy is focused on top-tier priority markets and gateway cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and New York City.

    In 2009, the brand opened 12 hotels and signed 14 deals globally.

    Hotel Indigo will fully realize its global positioning with the opening of the Hotel Indigo Shanghai on the Bund this August and additional properties are also scheduled for Liverpool, England, Glasgow, Scotland and Hong Kong.

    The Hotel Indigo San Antonio at the Alamo is owned by Gibbs Master Tenant, LLC, and managed by TNJ Management under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group.
