The Dorchester is situated in the heart of London’s Mayfair on Park Lane, with 250 rooms and suites designed in a classic English residential style. For more than eighty years the hotel has been at the heart of London’s most dazzling high profile events from state banquets, weddings, social and fashion events, to the infamous BCFA lunch.

For the first time in the hotel’s history, a film captures behind-the-scenes footage of preparations for one of these events.‘Fashion for The Brave 2012’ reveals the attention to detail and layers of preparations that contribute to such prominent events. Events operations manager Joe Flattery commented: “On average we run eight events in The Dorchester’s event rooms every day for 365 days of the year. Organisation, experience, timing, good relationships, stamina and creativity are all essential for intricate events and discerning guests.”

The charity event ‘Fashion for the Brave 2012’, which was held in the recently renovated ballroom, was attended by Jade Parfitt, Jasmine Guinness, Lady Victoria Hervey and raised funds of £270,000 for The Household Cavalry Operational Casualties fund and The British Forces Foundation.

The original architect behind the building of the Dorchester was also responsible for the Queens Hotel, Leeds
