The contemporary Trafalgar Hotel is celebrating its tenth birthday with a facelift of its bar and restaurant, Rockwell.

Anthony Worrall, general manager at The Trafalgar, was personally involved in the re-design of Rockwell and the interior has been refurbished to a high standard with a sleek and understated design, including dark woods set off by a combination of light grey, brushed metal and vibrant lime coloured leather armchairs. Black velvet chairs create a luxurious feel and the soft, low-profile lighting gives warmth to this contemporary backdrop and large light reflecting mirrors enhance the space, adding to the ambience. The bar and restaurant offerings have also been refreshed. Bar Manager, Antonio Vigorito, has included the calorie content of each item on the menu, making it much easier to make an informed decision when ordering.

Each drink is helpfully categorised accordingly, with the lowest calorie, non-alcoholic cocktails listed under ‘The Saintly’, higher calorie alcoholic cocktails under ‘The Sinful’, and indulgent alcoholic cocktails under ‘The Wickedly Good’

Downstairs in the restaurant the menu features a selection of the most popular dishes created by the Rockwell’s chefs over the last decade.

Rockwell classics include, the delicious Pork Three Ways dish, a feast of roast pork belly, confit leg and cumin dusted fillet with calvados jus, and for dessert, a warm treacle tart, served with clotted cream and strawberry dressing.

Since joining The Trafalgar as general manager in the spring of 2010, Anthony Worrall has overseen the launch of the rooftop bar, Vista, which he opened just six weeks into his role. Then, due to such popularity, he oversaw an extension to Vista a year later. He said, “I am extremely passionate about The Trafalgar and I like to be as hands on as possible when it comes to keeping the hotel fresh and in tune with current trends. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being involved in the re-design of Rockwell and I hope our guests will appreciate it as much as we do.”
