THE SPA at the Grand Hotel Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof has gained a “Luxury Hotel” commendation at the 2017 World Luxury Spa Awards in Hanoi (Vietnam) and has thus won the immediate right to designate itself as a “2017 World Luxury Hotel Spa Winner”.
The World Luxury Spa Awards are a world-recognised public event that has been in existence since 2007. They acknowledge hotels with outstanding health and beauty spa areas and restaurants on an annual basis. More than 1,000 luxury hotels and resorts from 150 countries compete in 50 categories to acquire a nomination. The crucial criteria are an innovative overall concept, the very highest level of quality and comfort and excellent service performance on the part of the hotel.
The exclusive Day Spa extends over an area of 1,000 m2 and features a combination of health and beauty and body care treatments. THE SPA at the Frankfurter Hof is not merely a premium venue for relaxation and regeneration. Professional beauty experts are also on hand to offer first class body care from head to toe. Exclusive cosmetic products are used to provide individual hair, nail and make-up treatments.
Further highlights include an unusually designed hamam, an extensive sauna area and a Private Spa Suite which is the first of its kind in Frankfurt.
The décor at THE SPA reflects a timeless elegance in its combination of warm shades of cream and brown and dark-coloured high-quality woods. Whereas clear and calm lines predominate in the relaxation rooms, the Private Spa Suite and the sauna area, the ornamental mosaics in the hamam conjure up an oriental atmosphere.
Designed by leading spa consultancy, SPA Creators (which has more than 20 years experience in creating exsquisite spa designs for hotels) make their first UK launch with Fishmore Hall, Shropshire, as they launch their innovative, designed pod-builds known as SPAshell.
Launching into the luxury boutique hotel Fishmore Hall, Shropshire, in October 2016 Laura Penman, Owner of Fishmore Hall said: “The beauty of SPAshell is that it provides us all the elements required to create a successful spa: from design and site development stages, through to delivery and commissioning; all building works are completed off-site using the latest technology. There’s no need for traditional foundation-work to be done, the installation of SPAshell takes a matter of a few days, and there’s almost no disturbance to our existing business and our guests. For us, it’s an obvious next step in our development of Fishmore Hall.”
Boutique hotels can now choose their pod builds: from ‘Mini SPAshellTM’ size, which offers four treatment rooms for guests, to the ‘Oyster SPAshellTM’ which offers eight treatment rooms for guests. Both come with thermal suites to boost guests’ relaxation experience with stylish and sophisticated Italian designed sauna and steam rooms and each SPAshellTM’ include a commercially-graded outdoor vitality pool, made from beautiful cedar wood materials with bucket shower and monsoon drench showers -ideal for cooling off.

In Russia, the Siberian Larch tree is known as the ‘Tree of Eternity.’
