Bulgari Hotels & Resorts has unveiled plans to open a luxury hotel in the heart of Paris at 2020…

Bulgari Hotels and Resort isn’t cutting corners on its plans to extend its offering of high-end luxury with a new hotel in Paris set to open in 2020.

The new 76-key hotel will comprise of a large spa, which will feature a 25-metre pool. It will shelter a Bulgari restaurant, bar and an open courtyard garden.

Positioned in the exclusive neighbourhoods around luxury stores on Avenue George, the hotel’s location is a further nod to the luxury brand and its familiarisation with fashion.

At the helm of the design is architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and French-studio Valode & Pistre.

In a press release the group said that “The restyling of the building has been conceived as a transition to modernity: while both the use of the typical Parisian limestone and the respect of the ‘alignment’ criteria recall the 19th century Haussmanian urban patterns, the completely renewed façade evokes a rationalistic style that is an expression of the most contemporary architectural design”.

The planned opening of Bulgari Hotel Paris will become the seventh hotel in the group’s portfolio. Launched in 2001 as a joint venture between the luxury Italian brand and hotel group Marriott International, is seeking further expansion in Europe. With a further two hotels in the pipeline – in Moscow and Tokyo – the luxury group is setting its sights on the global hotel scene.

Bulgari Hotels & Resorts will open its Dubai Resort on Thursday 7th December 2017; an urban oasis on Jumeirah Bay.

This newest addition to the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts collection is the fifth in the group, following on from the most recently launched Bulgari Hotel Beijing, which opened in September 2017. It joins a growing portfolio of properties around the world, which began with the inaugural Bulgari Hotel Milan in 2004, Bulgari Resort Bali in 2006 and Bulgari Hotel London in 2012, and will be followed by Shanghai in early 2018, and then Moscow in 2020.

As with all Bulgari Hotels & Resorts, the hotel was designed by renowned Italian architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. Both the interiors and exteriors have been created with the same detail and precision of a Bulgari jewel: pairing rare, raw materials according to colour, texture and feel, and sculpting them into objects of enduring beauty. Styled with European inspired boulevards, illuminated gardens and pools, it blends Mediterranean landscaping with the natural surroundings of the shores of the Arabian Gulf.

Embracing a maritime theme, customising the resort to echo its unique island home, luscious Italian marble has been used along with coral inspired exteriors to truly epitomise the ocean surroundings. Meanwhile, in the spirit of integral designs dating back to the 1930s, the architects hand-selected or custom-designed every element for consistency, comfort and purity, allowing the hotel’s design to maintain an uncompromisingly Italian style, while simultaneously incorporating the uniqueness of its destination, exuding timeless glamour. Each piece, from the marble bathtubs to the sculpted door handles, hail from the finest quality materials and is incorporated in a unified, seamless fashion.

The resort includes 101 hotel rooms and suites and 20 hotel villas, all exquisitely furnished with the highest quality Italian luxury furniture brands such as Maxalto, Flos, Fexform and others, in an expression of the quality of ‘Made in Italy’. All rooms and suites have expansive views over the breathtaking Dubai skyline or the Arabian Gulf, with large balconies to truly soak up the magnificent scenery.

It will stand as the world’s seventh Bulgari Hotel, following the opening of Milan in 2004, Bali in 2006, London in 2012, and the Shanghai, Beijing and Dubai Hotels anticipated for 2017.

The hotel will be located in a prestigious luxury area, just 300 metres from the city’s landmarks such as the historic Kremlin and the Red Square. As well, it will be adjacent to the Moscow State Conservatory P I Tchaikovsky, one of the most important music universities in the world.

The hotel will comprise 65 rooms and suites, including an extraordinary 300-square-metre Bulgari Suite with a unique 600-square metre rooftop terrace. A full range of luxury facilities, such as the signature Bulgari restaurant and bar and a 1600-square-metre Spa with 25 metre swimming pool, will be at the disposal of the hotel guests and residents.

The Bulgari Hotel in Moscow has been designed by the Italian architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners in collaboration with ATRIUM, a renowned Russian architectural bureau with more than 20 years of experience. It is planned to offer a mix of traditional and contemporary themes, and juxtapose new and conventional architecture through the conservative restoration and harmonisation of variously dated façades, thereby aptly reflecting the design and style of the surrounding area.

The internal building will be totally renovated to incorporate the highest standards of luxury facilities and offer the contemporary style and outstanding service and design for which the Bulgari Hotels are famous. The internal courtyard inspired by the traditional patios of the Italian Renaissance Palaces will offer the hotel guests an exclusive outdoor living space during the warm season.

The former residence of a noble family, and later home to the musicians from the Conservatory P. I. Tchaikovsky, the Bulgari Hotel will convey Bulgari’s core aesthetic values of contemporary design, magnificent craftsmanship and artistic detail.

Commenting on the announcement, the investor of the project Alexey Bogachev said: “I am very excited about the opportunity to cooperate with Bulgari Hotels and Resorts, which is the world’s synonymous of outstanding quality and sophisticated taste among the most exacting clients. The combination of Bulgari Hotel and the residences will create a new level of quality for the Moscow market.”
