More akin to a welcoming hotel lobby, the interior design of the Accor Asia Pacific Office, showcases a thoughtful blend of aesthetics and functionality, aimed at fostering a collaborative and inspiring environment. Shortlisted for multiple design awards, the 1,629 sqm space, with its bespoke Modieus carpets, is designed by alkimi studio to reflect the ‘heart starter’ concept.

Leah Manwaring and Marjolaine Weibel at Modieus Carpets explained their approach: “We worked with alkimi studio to deliver high-quality, bespoke carpet solutions that seamlessly integrate with the vibrant design elements of the office, adding warmth and a sense of comfort to the workspace. The design brief was to infuse the space with energy and rhythm, which we’ve reflected through the intricate patterns and textures in the carpeting. Our carpet designs enhance the dynamic interplay of curves, angles, and light within the office. This attention to detail contributes to a cohesive and immersive environment, which is central to the brand identity of Accor Hotels.”
