Due for completion by the end of November, Wyboston Lakes Hotel in Bedfordshire is currently undergoing a £1million bedroom refurbishment with the design concept created by Butterscotch Designs. The designers were given a brief earlier in the year to create sample guestrooms that had a luxury feel with comfort and practicality in mind. After receiving 138 guest reviews, re-designs were created and it is hoped the new rooms will offer the best experience when staying at Wyboston Lakes Hotel.

CLC Group have been contracted for the first phase of the refurbishment with a promise of a condensed program of works, so the rollout of the new designs can be experienced by guests sooner.

Wyboston Lakes will remain open throughout the refurbishment, hosting an array of events such as weddings, spa breaks and private functions. The new block will offer a luxury feel to complement their award winning Y Spa.

Plans to refurbish the remaining 40 bedrooms as Executive Suites for the business traveller are also in motion, with sample rooms intended to be completed by autumn 2015 with plans to begin the refurbishment in January 2016. This, along with the planned external upgrades to the cladding on the main building, will help Wyboston Lakes attain its desired 4 star rating.

Wyboston Lakes have also teamed up with Crave, a leading provider of guest-facing Hotel Tablet and App solutions to the hospitality industry. Each new bedroom will be equipped with a tablet featuring exclusive software for Wyboston Lakes. The guest will be able to browse menus and order room service, discover local area information, book spa treatments and so much more at the swipe of a finger.

Wyboston Lakes prides themselves on being eco-friendly and as such, will be recycling a lot of the furnishings to other venues within their collection. They have also donated all old soft furnishings to Emmaus Cambridge charity.
