Formerly known as The Queen’s Hotel, the Lake District Hotels Group’s Inn on the Square in Keswick has benefitted from a complete multi-million pound renovation.

The work has created a boutique hotel in the heart of the Lakes with a central location in the town, which combines strong elements of Scandinavian design with dashes of Cumbrian personality. Indeed the hotel’s restaurant — Brossen Steakhouse — takes its name from the Cumbrian dialect for ‘full up’.

The hotel has 34 bedrooms, and guests can choose from two different room types, Herdwick and Town View. The Herdwick rooms feature one wall dedicated to the Lake District’s famous breed of sheep. The Town View rooms face onto the square outside with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

Owned and operated by the Graves family, Lake District Hotels has seven other properties in the region, including the Lodore Falls in Derewentwater.
