Based on the coast of the Baltic Sea, two new Mercure hotels have recently opened in Poland with enviable locations within the town centres and just 100 metres from the beach. The 294-room Mercure Gdynia Centrum perfectly blends a city break and beach holiday in one location. With an interior which pays homage to the maritime heritage of the city, guests will be delighted to discover elements of “Dar Pomorza”, the legendary Polish sailboat.

The Gdynia Film Festival has also been a stimulus for the hotel interior and there are subtle references to the film industry’s most iconic settings throughout the hotel.

Inspired by the local architecture of the Gdańsk townhouses, the 151-room Mercure Gdańsk Posejdon has been designed with opulence in mind. Warm amber tones and the use of amber in artwork has been used within the guest rooms to add a touch of colour, also drawing reference to the trade history of Amber, also known as Baltic Gold.

Both hotels are now open to the public and contain a Winestone restaurant, swimming pool, fitness and wellness centre, and a conference centre with fully-equipped conference rooms.
