Hyatt is the latest hotel group to get in on the ‘independent hotel’ action after it announced it is launching the Unbound Collection – an exclusive portfolio of upscale properties – which will include historic properties, contemporary boutiques as well as resorts.
According to the group, each property will be ‘story-worthy’; be it an interesting historic past, an exclusive build with a famous architect or designer or with an award-winning dining experience.
Speaking about the new collection, Mark Hoplamazian, president of Hyatt Hotels, said: “The Unbound Collection by Hyatt provides us with a myriad of opportunities to grow, not only in new markets, but also in places we know our guests want to go.
The Unbound Collection by Hyatt launches with properties around the world, including The Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas; the Hôtel du Louvre in Paris, France; the Carmelo Resort & Spa in Carmelo, Uruguay; and the Coco Palms Resort in Kauai, Hawaii.
