Luxury boutique hotel Flemings Mayfair has unveiled the first instalment of its new-look deluxe bedrooms and suites, featuring beautifully elegant interior design and very special hidden extras as part of a wider £14 million refurbishment – as reported by HotelDesigns.net in May.Each bedroom, suite and apartment comes complete with a Mattison bed, Chiswick linen, a Nespresso coffee machine and complimentary WiFi. Some suites even boast their own private gin ‘honesty’ bar — perfect for a few self-served aperitifs.
Interior design firm Tully Filmer was tasked with the job of creating the stylish new look and transforming the rooms into 1930s- inspired havens, with each room costing an average of £85,000. Tully Filmer used a colour palette of bronze and soft greys teamed with period features and bespoke furniture. Some rooms have also seen their original three-metre high ceilings reinstated.
Tasteful bathrooms feature stunning mosaic marble floors with underfloor heating, bathtubs or rainfall showers and come stocked with T London toiletries filled with natural botanicals and essential oils.
The hotel has forged a partnership with celebrity photographer Dr. Andy Gotts who has photographed some top names, including Harrison Ford, Hugh Grant and Gary Barlow, at Flemings. The pictures now bedeck the walls of the bedrooms, suites and apartments.
The completion of the bedrooms follows the first phase of the redevelopment which saw a revamp of the Drawing Room tea room and small bar. The next stage will see Michelin-starred chef Shaun Rankin open a new restaurant and bar at the hotel in Spring 2016.
Having opened in 1851, Flemings Mayfair is one of the oldest family-owned hotels in London and was originally converted from 13 Georgian townhouses. The award-winning hotel, part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, offers luxury accommodation in one of London’s most prestigious postcodes, minutes from Green Park, Piccadilly and a short walk from Buckingham Palace.
