Palladium Hotel Group is continuing the upgrade of its luxury resorts across the Caribbean with the completion of a six month renovation project at Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa, located on Jamaica’s northern coast in Montego Bay.

Following a £13.5 million investment by the Spanish hotel group, the five star property is now fully open with refurbished rooms and suites, a renovated restaurant and a revamped beach area. The recent developments form part of a wider project by Palladium Hotel Group that is seeing a series of facelifts at its other Caribbean resorts, in Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

All Junior Suites, One Bedroom Suites and Honeymoon Villa Suites have been redesigned and refurbished in the colonial style that prevails throughout the Caribbean resort, transporting guests back to times gone by while maintaining the essence of today’s Jamaica and without sacrificing modern comforts.

New details include ivory cream marble floors, luxurious bathrooms, brass light fixtures and elegant walnut furniture. Yellow jungle motifs combined with elegant touches of black in the updated décor add a typically Jamaican touch, with ethnic-styled Arte Internacional wallpaper that makes reference to the hotel’s Jamaican roots.

New decorative items include period maps of the country and bright illustrations of local wildlife and plants. The new bathrooms feature London Underground tiling in a nod to the British influence in Jamaica through the country’s history.

Indian-themed Bhogali, one of the resort’s seven à la carte restaurants, has reopened after a full renovation, meaning guests can once again enjoy traditional spiced dishes from the open-air restaurant. The Las Brisas beach area is now also fully open following a revamp.
