We source and supply art to international hotel projects

The Art Source supports interior designers by researching, sourcing and commissioning bespoke prints, paintings, sculpture, tapestries, ceramics and artefacts for hotel rooms, suites and public spaces.

We collaborate with an international network of painters, printmakers, photographers, sculptors, weavers, model makers, ceramicists, collectors, framers and specialist shippers. We are committed to fair and ethical partnerships with our suppliers and adhere to the UNESCO Code for Art Commissioning (1970, CINOA guidelines and principles).

Our sourcing takes us worldwide — from retro antique shops in Hastings to Singapore dealers specialising in 1960s lightbox signs, and Bangkok flea markets. We uncover vintage curiosities, tribal artefacts, drawings and paintings that are authentic, distinctive and culturally meaningful.

We work closely to the style, budget and schedule outlined in each designer’s brief. Our process involves researching both locally and globally to identify artists and producers, presenting curated options, and — once selections are refined and approved — commissioning and overseeing production. Throughout the process, we keep client designers fully engaged in the creative journey while ensuring delivery is secure, insured and on schedule.

UK-based partner Trevor Nicholson began curating art for hotels in the 1990s. Early hospitality and corporate clients include Jumeirah Beach Hotel Dubai, Durban Hilton, Semiramis Intercontinental Cairo, The Portman Intercontinental London, Hyatt Regency Nice, Merrill Lynch and Coutts & Co.

www.theartsource.net evolved from the online gallery www.100artists.co.uk, which offers original paintings shipped directly to collectors from artists’ studios.

Research partner Pete Cannon, based between London and Southeast Asia, has a background in producing arts documentaries for the BBC and corporate communications for multinational companies across Asia and South America. Having lived and worked in Asia for over 25 years, Pete brings extensive knowledge of contemporary art in emerging markets, alongside deep experience in indigenous and ethnographic arts and crafts.

Today’s travellers seek distinctive and memorable hotel experiences. Original and contemporary art plays a vital role in shaping those environments. The Art Source takes a proactive approach, offering sharp insight into the fast-evolving art direction within international hotel interior design.

Fun fact: People tell Sienna she gives off Bridget Jones vibes, and she loves to bake, always making sure there are shortbreads floating around the office

Work highlights: Sienna joined Forum Events & Media Group while studying Communications and Media, starting in the sales team where she managed and helped launch the first the PA Life Leading Venues of London SHOWCASE, where she built relationships with luxury venues across the capital. Alongside her role at SPACE, Jess has built a creative career spanning the arts, culture, design and travel sectors. Prior to joining the magazine, she spent more than a decade in the commercial art industry, in artist liaison, gallery management, and curating collections for the hospitality sector across hotels and cruise ships. During this time, she also worked on freelance projects as a writer, photographer, and creative content producer.
