Schlüter-Systems Ltd is a market leader in essential systems and accessories for tile and stone. Founded in 1966 by Werner Schlüter, the company set out to provide practical solutions for bathroom tile installations. Werner began with a simple but revolutionary idea: a metal edge profile – Schlüter-SCHIENE – designed to protect and finish tiled edges.

From that single innovation, the business has grown to a portfolio of more than 10,000 products, including waterproofing and wetroom systems, underfloor heating, movement joints, uncoupling membranes and finishing profiles – all engineered to deliver durability and design freedom.

Still family-owned, with headquarters in Iserlohn, Germany, with further eight subsidiaries aiding distribution across more than 20 countries, Schlüter-Systems combines German engineering with practical, on-site expertise. In the UK, operations are based in Coalville, Leicestershire, where dedicated sales, marketing, technical, training, finance, HR and warehouse teams support customers nationwide. The Schlüter-Systems Education Centre further reinforces this commitment, delivering comprehensive training to architects, specifiers, installers and resellers.

Working closely with specifiers, contractors and other industry professionals to support the projects from conception to completion and beyond, the Schlüter team provides the best customer service available, as well as proactive technical guidance to ensure installations are not only visually striking but built to last. Because when the right system is specified from the outset, costly failures – cracked tiles, debonding and water damage – can be avoided. Prevention, as always, is better than cure.
