    ‘The Schlüter way’

Schlüter-Systems LTD is a market leader in essential accessories for tile and stone. Formed in 1966 by Werner Schlüter, a man who set out to provide practical solutions for bathroom tile installations. He came up with Schlüter-SCHIENE, a metal finishing profile.

From this first profile, a portfolio of 10,000 products has been created, including; waterproofing and wetroom systems, underfloor heating, movement joints and edge finishing profiles and uncoupling membranes.

To this day, the company remains a family-owned business with products born out of practical experiences. The headquarters resides in the town of Iserlohn, Germany, with a further eight subsidiaries aiding distribution across more than 20 countries.

All of their UK operations are housed at their offices in Coalville, Leicestershire including Sales, Marketing, Technical, Training, Finance, HR and Warehousing. They are also home to a highly regarded Schlüter-Systems Education Centre, which delivers their detailed training programmes to specifiers, installers and resellers from across the country.

The Schlüter team works closely with distributors, resellers, tiling contractors, architects and specifiers – providing the best customer service available – actively helping to ensure a long lasting, attractive installation. Schlüter’s renowned technical expertise includes advising architects, specifiers and contractors, before they carry out the installation, preventing tomorrow’s problems.

Without Schlüter, there is always the danger that the installation will fail – that the tiles will crack and become debonded. Indeed, technical advice is often sought where precisely that has happened, because Schlüter-Systems were not installed at the outset. Problems can always be put right – but of course, prevention is better than a cure.
