The Evian Resort continues its major renovation project on the Hôtel Royal in Evian. This 5-star hotel will undergo extensive work to enhance both its heritage and modernity, scheduled to open in July 2014. A makeover that will provide both the very best of modern-day comfort with the Belle Epoque spirit of this legendary place visited by famous personalities*. The creation at garden level of a new conference centre will leave the 6th floor free to create private suites that will offer exceptional panoramic views of Lake Geneva and will delight the most demanding of clients.

The common areas, including bars, restaurants, shops and lounges, will also be renovated, along with 75 rooms and suites, with the other half of the rooms to be refurbished in 2015, a total of 150 rooms and suites.

This project has been entrusted to interior designer François Champsaur and head architect of historic monuments François Châtillon. Many specialised craftspeople will also be called upon to ensure that history and heritage are respected. The soul and identity of this palace dating back to the early 20th century will remain intact via the restoration of its frescoes and collection of period furniture. Luxury and tradition make a perfect match with the final touches added to a new style of living, in order to meet the demands of the guests staying at this 5-star hotel.

All the staff at this wonderful property have been provided with a support system, some are being redeployed to other areas of the Evian Resort, while others are taking advantage of this opportunity to improve their skills on training schemes.
