Chicago’s, the newest destination bar and club in Windsor, benefits from a bespoke floor from Wilton Carpets Commercial contributing to a cutting edge interior with a welcoming touch. Some 200 square metres of bespoke woven axminster carpet can be found throughout the seating areas of the venue, complementing a stylish blend of traditional and contemporary interior décor influences.

“When talking through the design with the client, we discussed how we could make Chicago’s a cutting edge venue that also soothed and welcomed visitors,” explains Ian Dean, Arc Associates, responsible for the design of the venue. “We looked at traditional origin companies that achieved a contemporary and modern style, using their history and adding a fresh twist.

“The tartan carpet achieves this blend, taking a design steeped in heritage and adding modernity through oversized scale. We selected colours to complement the interior, using a dark base as is prerequisite for carpets in licenced premises. The whole design process was very smooth and Wilton Carpets understood what we were trying to achieve with the space right from the off.”

Manufactured in a high performance blend of 80% wool and 20% nylon for the ideal blend of durability and ease of maintenance, the carpet for Chicago’s was supplied and fitted within a tight timescale, helping the venue to open on time.

The broadloom carpet was produced by Wilton Carpets at its Wiltshire site and was installed by RJR Technical Services.
