Hilton has welcomed the 30-acre DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, as the latest addition to the DoubleTree by Hilton portfolio of 465+ hotels after a property-wide renovation and expansion project of the resort.

Formerly known as the Springmaid Beach Resort, the seaside hotel now boasts a 20,000 square-foot main building, ocean view restaurant and lounge, “grab & go” snack area and outdoor entertainment terrace.

The centerpiece of the 12-month, multi-million dollar transformation is a new main building, which houses the new lobby area and guest registration, offering stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean shoreline as well as new entertaining amenities and offerings including restaurants and a food market.

“Delivering a fantastic sense of arrival, the main building perfectly embodies the new look and feel of the resort,” said Michael Frits, general manager, DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront. “Our guests are now immediately greeted by the expanse of shoreline and Atlantic blue waters through floor-to-ceiling windows as well as a sophisticated beach design and vibe created by vaulted ceilings, dramatic lighting, sleek furniture, and coastal colors and fabrics.”

“Since the purchase, we were eager to complete the renovation of this celebrated resort, taking careful consideration to preserve its status on the Grand Strand, while introducing modern amenities and offerings for guests to enjoy for a lifetime,” said Kenneth Fearn, managing partner for Integrated Capital.
