Matthew Hancock, MP for West Suffolk is visiting The Jan Cavelle Furniture Company on Friday 29th July.
The meeting is with Matthew, Jan and Theresa Foddering of Arevolution in the town and is to discuss a new enterprise initiative for the town, full details of which will be released over the coming weeks.Jan is a passionate supporter of British Enterprise. She was selected as one of 50 women representing Britain under an EU Initiative UK Female Entrepreneurship Ambassador, who make up 250 female entrepreneurs across Europe under the scheme. In addition, she has just been announced as one of the Eastern Enterprise Hub’s Enterprise Superstars, selected by the Hub to inspire the area’s potential entrepreneurs. An award winning business person in her own right, Jan runs a successful furniture manufacturing business in Haverhill sending their furniture to top destinations worldwide.
Theresa is founder and owner of Arevolution, the extremely successful and popular beauty Salon in the town. Her own achievements were highlighted at the Chamber of Commerce Awards this year when she won three awards including Retailer of the Year, Small Business of the Year and the top award, Business of the Year.
Jan explains that after the awards, she approached Theresa as an inspirational figure for local potential entrepreneurs and between them and working with Start Up Britain, have been putting together a project to really kick start enterprise in Haverhill. “Who could be a better example of what someone can achieve in setting up and running a business than Theresa?” Jan says.
Both are thrilled that Matthew Hancock is keen to support the scheme and they are discussing it in more detail on Friday when he visits Jan’s company.
