Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. has announced the opening of The Westin Wall Centre, Vancouver Airport, a new-build hotel in Richmond, B.C. owned and managed by Wall Financial Corporation.The hotel incorporates green elements into the design and function. A focus of the design is a “Living Wall” that incorporates 360 living panels consisting of more than 9,000 native plants, which assist in irrigation. The hotel also has a Green Roof system with a large landscaped area consisting of drought tolerant sedum and ornamental grass with long curved arches to emulate the flight paths and movements of planes from the nearby airport.
The Westin Wall Centre, Vancouver Airport offers more than 9,900 square feet of functional meeting space. The 4,700 sq ft ballroom is equipped with all the latest technology and offers access to an outdoor terrace and garden area.
The hotel’s 176 guest rooms and eight unique suites all feature the Westin Heavenly Bed, a 32-inch HD flat screen TV, in-room and high-speed Internet access.
Additional amenities include an indoor heated pool, 24-hour business centre, a gym, valet parking and a dining room or intimate lounge.
