One of Newcastle’s most prestigious hotels has been added to the hotel panel of corporate travel services specialist, The Co-operative Travel Management (CTM), strengthening its relationship with several Co-operative businesses. Sandman Signature Hotel is enjoying the benefits of trading across The Co-operative’s family of businesses. Having been a client of The Co-operative Bank, it also recently took out a commercial insurance package with The Co-operative Insurance.
The hotel will now be considered for the more than 2,000 rooms which are booked by CTM in Newcastle every year.
The comprehensive insurance package it has taken with The Co-operative covers the hotel premises as well as employers and public liability.
Dave Matkin, Head of Business Development, at The Co-operative said: “Sandman Hotels illustrates how cross trading with The Co-operative brings additional benefits for businesses.
“Through an existing strong relationship with the company which spans insurance and banking, we are now helping to get more visitors to the hotel through our corporate travel management business.
“We are uniquely positioned to offer businesses a wide range of expertise spanning many sectors, and a diverse range of products and services covering legal and financial services to travel management and uniforms.”
Mitch Gaglardi, Director at Sandman Signature Hotels, added: “Dealing with one company for several services is certainly easier but when it’s an organisation with a trusted brand such as The Co-operative, that’s even better.
“The relationship has enabled us to ensure we can fill more rooms more of the time whilst also providing us with competitive banking and insurance packages.”
The 170-room Sandman Signature Hotel sits in the city centre of Newcastle, opposite the iconic Newcastle United Football Club Stadium. It employs around 200 people and includes the famous Shark Club Gastro Bar.
