Roman’s Project Award

Leading UK Shower Manufacturer, Roman Limited, has taken home the Gold Award for Marketing at this year’s annual Designer Kitchen and Bathroom Awards, for their new Project Specification Guide. The Project Specification Guide is a brand new idea within the showering market, where a specifier, architect or developer can pick and choose every part of their showering design to create a totally bespoke shower enclosure. The Project Specification Guide was launched by Roman earlier this year, in both a printed brochure format and as a dedicated website which can be found here.

The Project Specification guide gives the designer the opportunity to pick their own feature components, such as the glass, hinges or handle, along with the bracing style, so they can create an enclosure to work aesthetically within their bathroom design. They can also then tailor the footprint, door action, sealing system, profiles and dimensions to practically work in the space.

Roman designed the Guide in response to increasing demand from customers, both inside the UK, as well as their Export Partners around the World, who are more and more frequently looking for something which is totally bespoke for their project. It is specifically aimed at Housebuilders and Hotel, or Condominium Developers, who are working on larger scale projects.

The Marketing Award was a new category to this year’s Designer awards, and it was added in to recognise strong marketing ideas in the kitchen and bathroom industry.

The award comes within a week of the manufacturer being shortlisted for the House Beautiful Best Bathroom Product Award, for their Infinity Shower Trays, which offer stylish level access showering. They were also Highly Commended earlier in the same month by the Northern Design Awards, for their Roman Shield Complete Wetroom Tanking System, which makes installing a wetroom easy – notably this product has already won multiple Awards.

Commercial Director, Julian Pearson and Marketing Manager, Shelley McCormack, attended the glittering awards ceremony, which was held at the Tower of London. The event was hosted by designer, author and television presenter Oliver Heath, who is well known for his urban eco-conscious designs.

David Osborne, Roman’s Managing Director, commented: “We were delighted to receive the Gold Award for our Project Specification Guide at the Designer Kitchen and Bathroom Awards. We have in the past received awards for our Product design, but this year with the new category being introduced, we felt our Project Guide was a clear fit. There is nothing else like this out there in terms of the showering market, but our experience with specifiers has shown there is a real need for this type of service. Often an ‘off-the-shelf’ solution will simply not work in their space. We launched the Guide several months ago and so far it has been very well received. We are already quoting for projects both inside and outside of the UK from the Guide.”
