Recently HotelDesigns has reported the openings of two RockResorts – Balcones del Atlantico and Tempo Miami – and now it seems there are plans for a third hotel to open.One Ski Hill Place hotel is scheduled to open in late spring in Colarado and is to feature 282 units across six buildings.
There will be five different types of rooms to choose from – a studio, one bedroom, two bedroom, three bedroom and four bedroom.
Architecturally, the buildings are to be designed as a mountain lodge, with sheltering roof forms, shaded windows and natural wood and stone materials.
The colour schemes are to be made up of gold and ivory and there will be wood floors in the entrance area and kitchens of each unit, with carpet in the other areas, except for the bathrooms, which will feature Italian tiles.
The kitchen counter tops and bathroom vanity tops will be made from granite.
The resort is to feature an apres-ski bar and lounge, two theatre rooms, a lobby with a fireplace, a cafe, a food court restaurant, two swimming pools and an indoor hot tub, a bowling alley, conference space, a fitness room, two massage rooms, a sauna, a steam room and heated underground parking.
In each unit there will also be wireless internet, stone fireplaces and a five-piece masterbath.
The hotel is aiming to be as green as possible, by using thermal insulation, maximising daylight use through large windows, minimising the damage to the surrounding environment and using energy-efficient equipment.
