Standing elegantly in landscaped grounds, the hotel’s classic Victorian features and sumptuous interiors bring a sense of occasion to any visit.Hotel owner Kris Clayton, of Clayton Hotel Group, approached architectural salvage specialist Andy Thornton when he wanted to source a unique outdoor feature piece, to enable wedding ceremonies to be held in Hollin Hall’s stunning grounds. A long-standing customer of Andy Thornton, Kris knew the company would be able to find something spectacular to add the finishing touch he wanted.
We were delighted to supply a stunning bespoke wrought iron orangery to Hollin Hall, in black with beautiful gold highlights. Based on an original Victorian birdcage gazebo design, the impressive structure perfectly complements the hotel’s Victorian heritage; orangeries were highly popular in the Victorian garden, as a symbol of wealth and prestige.
To complete the idyllic outdoor wedding location, we were also commissioned to supply the Four Seasons statues, striking female figures hand-sculpted in solid sandstone, representing spring, summer, autumn and winter. Faithfully copied from originals found in the classic gardens of Italy, the statues add a timeless elegance to the hotel grounds and create a pleasing backdrop for the orangery.
