The Nemo chair designed by Fabio Novembre for Driade and Design-Conscious made an impressive entrance to the market when it was launched at the Milan furniture fair this year (2010). A huge statement piece for either indoors or outside. A Sculpture and a Chair.Nemo is equally at home in a Classical Vila or poolside in Miami – the face of a beauty that we would normally associate with a Venetian mask maybe, translated in to a huge sculpture that also has the function of being comfortable enveloping seat.

Made from rotationally moulded polyethylene, and available in matt black & white finishes and also in a high gloss red lacquered finish.

We have seen this product receive a very enthusiastic reaction to all sorts of applications – from the first that we installed in the grounds of stunning Peel Castle from Grand Designs, to a modern apartment with balcony where this piece acts as both sculpture and sheltered seating in a very limited space. We have also used these chairs to create a distinct feature as waiting room seating in a Beauty Spa.

If you are looking for large statement pieces to add impact to big areas, and interactive experiences to delight your guests, or just a one off talking point to add to a vista, then the Nemo chair is worth considering.

Robust, weather proof, easy to clean, relatively lightweight if you need to move them around, yet with a solid and stable construction that will last for years.
