Morgan Furniture, the design-led British manufacturer of contract furniture, will launch a new modular seating system called Manhattan at Clerkenwell Design Week, 24-26th May 2011. Created by Morgan Design Director, Katerina Zachariades-McMahon, Manhattan combines quality craftsmanship with a minimal pure form to complement modern office interiors. Modular chairs and sofas with low or high backs feature timber or metal legs, optional armrests plus a high screen option that can be used to create private seating zones or break-out areas. Still undergoing the final stages of development, Clerkenwell has been chosen as the ideal launch platform for Manhattan as it is designed to appeal to contemporary office environments seeking style and versatility.

The award-winning Miami sofa from Morgan will also be on display at the show.

A striking version of contemporary vintage style, Miami features slim elegant profiles, generous seat widths and buttoned back detail. The collection offers three sizes: a two or three seater sofa and a single seat. In addition a bench seat and bar stool are available with feature metal swivel bases. The swivel base also makes an attractive and pleasurable option for the single seat. Miami comes to Clerkenwell with impressive credentials having been awarded the prestigious Design Guild Mark in 2010.
