The lodge which is located on Lake Malawi was designed by the owners and interior designer Abi James who is based in Cape Town.The lodge, was a collaboration with husband and wife James and Suzie Lightfoot, who, along with the interior designer, have decided to use natural surroundings to create unique character.
The stone and teak-framed thatched accommodation includes two family cottages and houses which is ideal for honeymooners.
Kaya Mawa will feature three standard rooms which will have private decks and direct access to the lakes, two family cottages which will sit at the back of the main beach. Each of the family chalets will have a double and a twin/triple room, an interconnecting bathroom and outside relaxation areas.
There will also be three premium suites which will offer lake views and each will have a private pool. Kaya Mawa’s Ndomo Point House will open in June 2010 and will feature four bedrooms with three ensuite bathrooms and will come fully staffed.
