Since its opening last month, InterContinental Doha The City has welcomed both business and leisure travellers, as well as its first long-stay guests in the residence suites, while food and beverage options including The Square and Hive are seeing a steady stream of patrons. To oversee its latest property in the GCC, InterContinental Hotels Group has appointed Renzo Cavagliotti as General Manager of InterContinental Doha The City. The veteran hotelier brings a wealth of global experience to Doha, having worked within the hospitality industry for more than 30 years.

“There has a really positive response – locally, regionally and internationally – to this truly landmark hospitality offering in Qatar, and the hotel is poised to provide a new vantage point to experience Doha’s highlights in the coming weeks and months,” said Renzo Cavagliotti, new General Manager of InterContinental Doha The City.

Making its debut in February this year, InterContinental Doha The City is the latest offering from the leading global hotel group. Highlights of the architecturally stunning 58 storey property include six restaurants and two lounges. In the coming weeks, InterContinental Doha The City will feature the city’s highest dining experience along with an in-house chocolatier and a traditional Lebanese restaurant.

The recently-opened hotel and residence suites are set to be the destination of choice for both well-travelled visitors and Qatar residents, adding 302 rooms and 58 suites to Qatar’s booming hospitality sector. In addition, the 176 fully-furnished luxurious residence suites include a range of one-to-four bedroom layouts.
