Hilton Hotels & Resorts has announced its second property in Tampa, Fla., with the reflagging of Hyatt Regency Tampa as Hotel Tampa, an affiliate of Hilton. Prior to being renamed Hilton Tampa Downtown in 2013, the hotel will undergo extensive renovations to the guest rooms, lobby, common areas, dining and restaurant amenities, ballroom and meeting spaces, fitness centre and administrative offices. Hotel Tampa joins Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore, Hilton St. Petersburg Carillon Park, Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront and Hilton Clearwater Beach as the fifth Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in the Tampa Bay Area.
“Located in the heart of downtown Tampa, Hotel Tampa expands our presence along the west coast of Florida. This hotel is an ideal location for both business and leisure travellers due to its location near museums, business facilities, entertainment and dining,” said Dave Horton, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts.
The hotel features 521 guest rooms and guests will enjoy an outdoor pool, fitness centre, Avanzare Lobby Bar and Restaurant and Starbucks Coffee onsite. Business travellers will find 30,000 square feet of flexible meeting space and a modern business centre, as well as enjoy the convenience of being within minutes of the convention centre.
