Hilton Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of its newest property in the Pearl River Delta – Hilton Zhongshan Downtown. Operated by Hilton Worldwide and owned by The Lihe Group, the property is located in the heart of Zhongshan’s central business district and surrounded by premium retail and entertainment centre. The hotel features 459 guest rooms including 34 suites; a variety of restaurants and bars, two ballrooms, as well as state-of-the-art meeting facilities and an unrivalled recreation centre.As part of the Lihe Plaza – a multi-functional commercial, residential, retail and entertainment complex, Hilton Zhongshan Downtown is the perfect choice for business and leisure travellers. The hotel is 60 kilometres from Macau, 80 kilometres from Guangzhou and 100 kilometres from Hong Kong, and is accessible by road, rail and ferry.

Hilton Zhongshan Downtown’s 459 luxurious guest rooms including 34 suites boast a range of quality amenities, including an expansive work space, wireless internet access, Peter Thomas Roth toiletries, free-standing tubs in deluxe rooms and sunken tubs in executive rooms,. Each room also features a spectacular view of the city. Wireless internet access will also be available in the building’s public areas, bringing additional convenience to hotel guests.

Guests can enjoy unparalleled recreational facilities, including a 25-meter heated, indoor swimming pool, and a professional tennis court and 24-hour fitness centre equipped with a yoga and aerobics room, whirlpool and sauna. For an ultimate indulgence, guests can also receive rejuvenating beauty treatments at the hotel’s full-service spa.

The hotel also features 3,600 square meters of conference and banquet space, including two grand ballrooms and eight state-of-the-art multi-functional rooms, all of which have large windows that let in natural light. The 1,323-square meter Grand Ballroom 1 features an eight-meter ceiling and can accommodate up to 1,200 guests in style. The magnificent Grand Ballroom 2’s 921 square meters can be divided into two separate rooms. The hotel’s business centre provides full business facilities and services to meet guests’ business needs, including computers, copy machines, printers, printing services, telephones, and postal services. The Connectivity Station provides guests with 24-hour access to computer and printing services.

The hotel features a variety of restaurants and bars, offering a variety of world-class delicacies and drinks that will satisfy guests’ different palates.

Hilton Zhongshan Downtown’s vibrant restaurant 360° opens during breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering a full-service buffet featuring contemporary Asian and Western cuisine as well as an a la carte menu. Guests can start their days with a full Hilton breakfast that includes hot and cold buffet selections and a wide range of local delicacies. Interactive cooking stations, like a wok station, tandoor oven and seafood grill delight guests during lunch and dinner. Guests can also treat themselves by trying the dessert buffet, which features a wide array of delectable, homemade desserts, cakes and ice cream.

Located on the second floor is My China which features the freshest and finest ingredients, offering specialty cook-at-the-table Cantonese and Asian hotpots.

The elegant contemporary restaurant, Il Ponte, offers authentic Spanish tapas and Italian cuisine as well as stunning views from its 58th-floor location. Open kitchens allow guests to watch chefs create magnificent dishes for a dining experience that will certainly be remembered.

Horizon Bar & Lounge, Zhongshan’s newest and most exciting lounge bar on the 59th floor, offers stunning views for guests to enjoy while relaxing with a cocktail from the bar’s extensive drinks list. This restaurant also offers a light menu of contemporary food and popular music.

The lobby bar, T Lounge & Bar, offers an extensive array of tea and coffee selections, homemade cakes and pastries and a sophisticated list of wines, fine cognacs and whiskies.

Workhighlights: Successfully coordinating events from planning through to delivery and seeing everything come together on the day.

Fun fact: I’m a keen cyclist and will happily bore people with copious amounts of cycling chat. My top cycling experience (so far) would have to be riding in the spectacular mountains of Crete.

Work highlights: Charles joined Forum Events in 2022. With a background in publishing, editorial media and events, Charles brings a wealth of experience to his role as Senior Production Manager. Having being involved with SPACE from the outset, he is excited to see the brand grow and develop.

Fun fact: People tell Sienna she gives off Bridget Jones vibes, and she loves to bake, always making sure there are shortbreads floating around the office

Work highlights: Sienna joined Forum Events & Media Group while studying Communications and Media, starting in the sales team where she managed and helped launch the first the PA Life Leading Venues of London SHOWCASE, where she built relationships with luxury venues across the capital. Drawn to the stories behind these spaces, she naturally transitioned into the editorial team, creating social media and editorial content. Upon graduating in June 2026, she is excited to be joining as Assistant Editor for Hotel Designs and SPACE.

Fun fact: When not working, Jess can usually be found tending to her kitchen garden in the Sussex countryside or foraging for herbs in the nearby woods. A keen grower, she recently studied a RHS Level 2 Diploma in the Principles of Horticulture during her spare time.

Work highlights: Jess joined SPACE magazine in 2022 and has since progressed from Assistant Editor to Editor. During this time, she has worked across many aspects of the publication – from shaping editorial strategy and overseeing operations to contributing to art direction and representing the brand on stage at industry events including Surface Design Show and WOW!house.

Alongside her role at SPACE, Jess has built a creative career spanning the arts, culture, design and travel sectors. Prior to joining the magazine, she spent more than a decade in the commercial art industry, in artist liaison, gallery management, and curating collections for the hospitality sector across hotels and cruise ships. During this time, she also worked on freelance projects as a writer, photographer, and creative content producer.
 
Jess studied photojournalism at London College of Communication and the Danish School of Media and Journalism and holds a first-class BA (Hons) in Culture, Criticism and Curation from Central Saint Martins.

Fun fact: Katy has spent years perfecting all kinds of accents and loves a good impersonation!

Work highlights: Katy has been with Hotel Designs since the beginning, way back in 2015 when Forum Events & Media Group acquired the brand.

During this time, she has fostered many meaningful relationships with clients from across the hospitality spectrum, as well as playing a pivotal role in the launch of The Brit List Awards, Hotel Designs MEET UPs, client-led roundtables and panel talks, brand and website redesigns, HD Wellness Sets, DESIGN POD podcast, Hotel Designs LIVE panel talk series, Accessible Design Talks and more. Katy is always on the lookout for the next opportunity to help grow the Hotel Designs brand even further.
 
Most recently Katy has stepped in to the role of Publisher at SPACE magazine, the printed bi-monthly publication focused on hotel design, architecture, and development.
